I'd like to be the wind, I'd swirl and shape the sky

Look title from "Bird Song" by The Wailin' Jennys
A folky song for a grungy outfit

tapestry jacket: Lost & Found Vintage - Royal Oak, MI
velvet cardigan: Salvation Army
black top: Goodwill
tie-dye pants: Goodwill
red belt: Salvation Army
necklace: various places
white socks: Urban Outfitters
manipulated litas: me!

Here's my Riot Grrrl/90s grunge look. I even styled my hair grungy too, though you can't really tell. I let the pink hair hang and took the blonde and made two little buns on each side of my head. And these pants!!! I picked up these amazing pants at the Goodwill by my apartment last week. They were way too big on me and they were flares, just so so ugly. But luckily I had been on the Love Charles Vintage blog a few weeks before that and had seen how Lily turned a pair of no-so-flattering pants into lovely skinnies. It's so simple, you guys have to check it out. You barely need to know how to use a sewing machine, you just need to own one!

I'm not really sure how I feel about these nighttime shots, but I do like mixing it up. Being consistent to the point of becoming boring worries me.

  4. I don't want this to be taken as rude, but I wanted to let you know that I find the hovering, follow-you-down-the-page header really annoying. It cuts off like 1/3 of the page. And, on a blog like this, featuring great fashion photos, I don't want something covering up the photos that I'm trying to look at.
I love your blog- I don't want to be rude by criticizing your blog design, but I think it may be something to consider getting rid of (the hovering part, not the header completely- it's a cool design) or maybe asking your readers what they think.

    1. No no no! It's not rude, it's critique! I'm used to that when it comes to design =) Don't worry about it. The hovering header was actually something I was worried about, as well as it covering up the photos. The resolution on my computer is large enough that it doesn't cover up the photos, but not everyone has a resolution like mine and I should take that into consideration.

I actually asked some of my followers via facebook, and I think on my blog as well, if this header was annoying. I'm glad you responded!

      Thank you =)
